Cancer screening - early detection saves lives
Many cancers develop unnoticed - often over a period of years. Regular check-ups can help to detect cancer at an early stage and significantly increase the chances of recovery. The examinations usually only take a few minutes and are free of charge with your health card.

Cancer screening for women
From the age of 20, you are entitled to an annual examination for the early detection of cervical cancer. From the age of 30, you can also have an annual breast examination.
Mammography screening
Women between the ages of 50 and 69 are automatically invited to a breast X-ray examination every two years by the Central Agency for Mammography Screening. The aim is early detection of breast cancer and a better chance of recovery.
Women between the ages of 70 and 75 can actively register for a screening appointment at the relevant screening center.
