What is the ePA?

The ePA is your personal, digital storage space for health information - from medical reports to medication plans. You decide what is stored and who has access - simply via an app on your smartphone.

Simply log in, activate and start your digital health journey.

Good to know

The ePA has been available to all insured persons since January 15, 2025. This means

  • You will automatically receive access to the ePA - no application necessary
  • Your consent can be revoked at any time
  • Access is only granted with your approval

With the ePA, you benefit from faster data exchange, better coordinated treatments and more transparency regarding your health.

As of 01.01.2024, all ZF BKK policyholders will receive a digital identity in the form of a health ID. This will make access to the ePA and e-prescription easier and more secure.

This means for you:

  • Access to your ePA with your personal app code
  • Freedom of choice when logging in:
    - by app code
    - with your electronic health card (eGK) and PIN
    - via the online ID function of your ID card
  • Convenient login via fingerprint or facial recognition is no longer necessary
  • Identity confirmation must be renewed every 6 months at the latest

Note: The ePA app automatically reminds you to confirm your identity in good time - simple and secure.

If you have lost your smartphone or your device has been changed, you can easily block your convenient access to the electronic patient file (ePA) yourself.

This is how it works:
