Health promotion projects
Growing up healthy, working healthy, growing old healthy - we accompany our region on this path. ZF BKK brings health promotion directly to the people: in schools, daycare centers and care facilities. With ideas that move, strengthen and inspire. Because only together can we create an environment in which health has a future.

Ben and Finja
Children today have unlimited opportunities - but this is precisely why the pressure of expectation is increasing in our meritocracy. This makes it all the more important to raise children's awareness of stress and relaxation at an early age and equip them for the challenges that lie ahead.
With our project, we support children in the third and fourth grades in adopting positive health behavior and developing a balanced lifestyle. Ben & Finja accompany and support the children as mascots on this journey.

Fit from an early age
More and more studies show that children do not get enough exercise in their everyday lives and are increasingly struggling with the consequences of an unhealthy lifestyle, such as being overweight. It is therefore sensible and necessary to counteract this as early as possible and to teach children in a playful way what a healthy lifestyle means. Kindergartens and schools are ideal for this, as many children from all social backgrounds can be reached here.
After training the teaching staff, the health topics to be implemented in the facility are selected together. The health kit provides practical ideas and examples to support implementation.

Really involved - growing up healthy in the digital age
We live in the digital age. Even for the youngest children, media are often part of everyday life. But where televisions, games consoles and the like bind attention, it is lacking elsewhere: poor social skills, computer game addiction, obesity and school problems are possible consequences. More screen-free, "real" time means a gain in real-life skills for children and lays the foundation for self-determined and responsible media use later on.
The prevention program is an initiative of the BKK umbrella association, the regional associations and the company health insurance funds. The various modules it contains are aimed at children, parents and educators. The project is run by Media Protect e.V.

Satchel training
The first day of school is a very special day for children and the excitement about this and the new school bag is great. To prevent back pain right from the start, we offer school bag training for pre-school children and first-graders in schools.
The children learn about the spine in a playful way with small introductory games. They also try out how to pack their school bag correctly and what to look out for when adjusting the shoulder straps. Finally, the children practise together how to relax their back muscles if carrying a school bag becomes a strain.

YouMynd
Psychosocial challenges are greater at vocational schools than at other types of school. Various studies provide frightening insights into the lives of young people in Germany: worries about inflation, high housing costs, poverty in old age, the climate crisis and a lack of digitalization lead to considerable psychological stress. Of the approximately 2,000 people aged 14 to 29 surveyed, 51% stated that they were suffering from considerable stress. 36% regularly feel exhausted and 17% feel helpless. This is where the "You!Mynd" prevention project comes in, offering a holistic concept in the vocational school setting that aims to safeguard the mental health of both pupils and teachers. The approach aims to strengthen vocational school students in five areas of competence: self-confidence, social competence, stress regulation, self-organization and addiction competence.
Mental Health ABC
In cooperation with BKK MTU, BKK Verbund Plus and BKK Gildenmeister Seidensticker, a prevention project for students at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen was launched with the service provider pme Familienservice. The focus is on mental illness in young adults, which has been on the rise in recent years. Students are taught to recognize mental illnesses, help those affected, but also themselves, and refer them to appropriate contact points.
Rainbow Land
In cooperation with Mehr Zeit für Kinder e.V., health promotion projects tailored to different age groups are carried out in kindergartens and schools. The intergenerational project "Relaxation, mindfulness and balance in Regenbogenland" brings together local children from kindergartens and residents of inpatient care facilities in order to connect the two living environments and raise their awareness of the topics of relaxation and balance in everyday life.
