Early detection is the best protection: regular check-ups help to identify health risks in good time and take targeted countermeasures. All insured persons aged 18 and over can take advantage of these services.

Your claim

Insured persons between the ages of 18 and 34 can have a one-off check-up examination. A second check-up can be taken advantage of from the age of 35. After that, we cover the costs of the check-up every 3 years.

This is how the check-up works

The subsequent physical examination includes

Blood pressure measurement to detect cardiovascular risks
Listening to the heart and lungs
Palpation of the abdomen
Checking the skin, nervous system, sensory organs and musculoskeletal system

This is supplemented by laboratory tests:

Blood test to determine cholesterol and blood sugar levels (for people under 35 only if they have a corresponding risk profile)
Urine test to detect diabetes, kidney or bladder disease (from the age of 35)
One-off hepatitis B and hepatitis C screening

Finally, your doctor will explain the results to you and advise you on how you can actively improve your health. If there are any abnormalities, further examinations or treatments will follow.
