Early Detection of Colon Cancer

Colon cancer often develops over a long period of time and may initially cause no symptoms. This makes early detection all the more important. One option is an immunological stool test. It screens the sample for invisible human blood in the stool.

With our additional service, we make it especially easy for you to participate:

  • Starting at age 30, ZF BKK members can order the test to be delivered to their home free of charge.

This means this additional healthcare service begins significantly earlier than the statutory early detection program, which starts at age 50.

Your Benefits

  • Convenient at Home: You order your test kit online and collect the sample at home.
  • Free of charge: There are no costs to you as part of this offer.
  • Available early: This additional benefit from ZF BKK is available to you starting at age 30.
  • Just one sample: A single sample is sufficient for the test; no special diet is required beforehand.
  • Personalized Results: After the samples are analyzed, you’ll receive your test results by mail.

Good to Know

What does an abnormal test result mean?

An abnormal result simply means that blood was detected in the stool. This does not yet constitute a diagnosis. A positive result should be evaluated by a doctor through a colonoscopy.

Does a stool test replace a colonoscopy?

No. The immunological stool test is one method of early detection. A colonoscopy can identify potential precancerous lesions and remove and examine polyps directly.

At what age can I take the test?

The additional screening offered by ZF BKK is available to you every two years starting at age 30. The statutory colorectal cancer screening program begins at age 50.

Do I need to do anything special to prepare before the sample is taken?

No. No special diet is required for the test. One stool sample is sufficient for the procedure. The stool test should not be performed during your period, as this may affect the results.

How do I get my test results?

Once the results have been analyzed, you will receive your personal test results by mail.
