Digital health applications – apps for your health

Digital health applications—DiGA for short—are certified medical apps. They assist in the detection, treatment, or monitoring of health problems.

Your advantages

  • Targeted support in everyday life – therapy and support that can be used digitally and flexibly
  • Tested quality – approved by the BfArM and medically evaluated
  • Costs covered by ZF BKK – if requirements are met
  • Secure handling of your data – high standards of data protection and information security
  • Close coordination with your doctor's office – evaluations can be discussed together

With a doctor's prescription or medical certificate, we cover the costs for all applications listed in the official DiGA directory.
Prevention or pure fitness apps are not included.

Good to know

All approved applications are reviewed by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and included in an official directory.

There you will find information on:

  • Objectives and mode of action
  • Functions and use
  • Data protection and information security
  • Quality requirements
  • Possible additional costs

The remuneration of DiGAs is determined uniformly. You will not incur any additional costs for approved applications.
