Prevention Day: A Little Break for Families
Health often starts with the little things: laughing together, trying new things, and taking a mindful look at everyday family life. That’s exactly why we’re creating a little “time island” for parents and children on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
On Prevention Day, we warmly invite families to discover health through play—with physical activity, small hands-on activities, exciting ideas about nutrition, and plenty of time to spend together.
A little break after preschool and the daily routine
Kindergarten is over, the day may have already been busy enough—but you’re still in the mood for a little time together? Then just stop by.
From 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., a fun, hands-on program awaits parents and children on the activity lawn in front of ZF BKK, Otto-Lilienthal-Straße 10 in Friedrichshafen.
No registration required, free of charge, and indoors in case of rain, of course.
Kids can feel, hear, and marvel at the sensory course; playfully discover how much sugar is in food with the sugar quiz; or find matching pairs in a game of Memory. Fun physical activities invite kids to jump, balance, and experiment—and get parents and children moving together. All children who participate will receive a small gift.
Online Resources for Parents
Parents can also find helpful resources on Prevention Day—conveniently online and free of charge.
At 9:15 a.m., the session “The Many Faces of Health—and Where Do I Fit In?” explores new and deeply personal perspectives on health: What’s good for me? What does health mean to me—beyond trends, expectations, and rigid rules?
At 4:00 p.m., the online presentation “Uncovering Sugar Traps in Children’s Foods: Nutrition Tailored to Kids” will follow . Parents and anyone interested will learn where sugar hides in everyday life, what impact it can have on health, and how to make mindful eating easier in family life.
Register now for the online events—it’s free!
