ZF BKK Wins Two Awards at the 2026 German Brand Award

Some milestones clearly demonstrate just how much passion, courage, and teamwork go into a project. Our new brand identity is one such milestone—and now this very journey has been recognized.

Our project “ZF BKK – Rebranding & AI-coded Verbal Identity” was honored with two Winner awards in the Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation category:

  • Best AI Project of the Year
  • Brand Digitalization

For us, this double honor is a special validation of our brand journey. After all, the reorientation of ZF BKK was more than just a new visual identity: it translated our brand ethos into a system that works in everyday life.

BKK ZF & Partner became ZF BKK. A fragmented brand presence evolved into a clear guidance system. And our role as a travel companion evolved into a positioning as an approachable co-pilot in the healthcare market.

In doing so, we strategically realigned our brand: closer to our roots, clearer in design, and more personal in tone. Today, ZF BKK stands for guidance, security, and clear support in an often complex healthcare system.

A central part of this award-winning project is our AI-coded verbal identity. Behind it lies a brand voice that has not only been defined but also translated into clear guidelines for day-to-day work. With our NAVI rules and identity markers, our communication becomes more approachable, engaging, understandable, and recognizable—across all touchpoints.

Thus, an attitude became a system. And from this system emerged a tool that allows us to produce a wide range of content more quickly, consistently, and in a way that’s true to our brand—from websites and print materials to customer letters.

The German Brand Award is organized by the German Design Council and is one of the most prestigious awards for holistic brand work in the German-speaking world.

A big thank you goes to everyone who helped shape this journey: to our team, which brings our brand to life every day; to Jung von Matt BRAND IDENTITY SCHWEIZ for their strong strategic and creative support; and to the German Design Council and the jury for this special recognition.

This double honor is both a confirmation and a source of motivation for us: We will continue on our path—as a clear, digital, and approachable health insurance provider.
