Terms of use of the online office

The use of our online office is subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany.

We make the online office and the ZF BKK Service App available to all insured persons who have reached the age of 15.

According to § 36 SGB I, the legal representatives should be informed of the application of customers who have reached the age of 15 but not yet 18. This is done in consideration of data protection aspects. It should be noted that the withdrawal of applications always requires the consent of the legal representatives.

The online office and the ZF BKK Service App may only be used by the insured person themselves and not by a legal representative, a guardian or an authorized representative.

To use the online office and the ZF BKK Service App, you must have an ongoing insurance relationship with us. Your current insurance status is therefore checked each time you register. In order to benefit from the online services, you must register for the online branch and the ZF BKK Service App. Registration takes place in the ZF BKK Service App. The initial password will be sent to you by post for security reasons. You must also assign at least one mobile device to your personalized account.

You can cancel your personalized access to the online branch and the ZF BKK Service App at any time with effect for the future in the online branch under Settings/Registration or close it in writing by letter.

Please change the password sent to you after your first login. A password for the online office must meet the following criteria:

• The password must consist of at least 8 characters.
• The password must contain at least one lower-case letter, one upper-case letter, one number and one special character (%&+-#?).
• Special character: %&+-#?
• You cannot use umlauts (ä,ö,ü) or "ß" for the password.
• Your password should not be easy to guess. For example, avoid using your own name or the names of family members or your place of residence or birth. In addition, it should not consist of consecutive combinations of letters and numbers. Please make sure that you enter your password unobserved and do not write it down. You should also change your password regularly.

As a user of the online office, you are obliged to comply with security measures. The most important measure is to protect your access data, in particular your personal password for logging into the online office.

Log out via "Log out" after each visit to the online office. For security reasons, we recommend that you close the browser window at the end of your visit and do not use it to visit other websites. This advice applies in particular if you are not using the online office from home but from a public place (e.g. workplace, Internet café).

If you do not perform any action in the online office within a time interval of 20 minutes, you will be automatically logged out for security reasons.

If you know or suspect that a third party has obtained your password, please inform us immediately. We will block your access and send you a new password.

If you enter your password incorrectly three times in succession, your access to the online office will be automatically blocked for 24 hours for security reasons.

When using the online office, please ensure that you are using the latest version of your web browser. Keep the operating system of your (mobile) device up to date.

Further information on data protection

Access to the online office will be blocked 60 days after the end of the insurance period with us. We are also entitled at any time to restrict or close access to the online office individually or completely for data security reasons. Claims for damages or extensions of time limits cannot be derived from this fact.

We are entitled to discontinue operation of the online branch / the ZF BKK Service App at any time.

The online office and the ZF BKK Service App offer you the opportunity to communicate with us electronically. Depending on your request, we may need proof from you. The online office and the ZF BKK Service App allow you to send us this evidence electronically, for example as a scanned document. Your requests will then be processed completely electronically. By accepting these terms of use, you confirm that all electronic evidence submitted by you corresponds to the original and has not been altered or manipulated. In the event of manipulation or inauthenticity, we have the right to retroactively decide otherwise to your disadvantage.

Please keep the original documents. In case of doubt (e.g. if the uploaded documents are illegible), the original documents can be requested.

Whenever you use the online office and the ZF BKK Service App, you must follow the instructions and user guidance on the screen. Data entered must be checked for accuracy and completeness. You are obliged to take sufficient security measures to prevent misuse of your user ID. An important security measure during use is effective access protection for your end device, which prevents unauthorized third parties from using it. Use a virus scanner and a firewall to ensure that your end device is adequately protected. Keep these and your operating system up to date with updates. Never follow links in e-mails whose source is unknown to you or does not appear trustworthy. Never open any file attachments in such e-mails.

We never ask our policyholders to change their personal data by e-mail. Be suspicious immediately if you receive such an e-mail and inform us. If you notice anything unusual, please inform us immediately.

We exclude liability for breaches of duty and incorrect or incomplete information. We also accept no liability for damage caused by a third party gaining possession of access data due to a lack of due diligence on the part of the user.

We may update or amend the terms and conditions of participation and use at any time. These are binding in their current version. You will be informed of any changes and asked for your consent. You can only continue to use the online services once you have confirmed the conditions.

Use of the online office and the ZF BKK Service App is only permitted within the scope of these terms of use. It is prohibited to transmit racist, disparaging, insulting, violence-glorifying, pornographic or similar content. Violations of criminal law will always be reported to the police.
