Vaccinations at pharmacies – convenient and close by
You can now also get vaccinations at many local pharmacies. Trained pharmacists with specialized medical training administer vaccinations in accordance with strict professional, facility, and organizational guidelines. This makes preventive care even easier—and helps you stay on the right track with us.
Which vaccinations are available?
Pharmacies currently offer the flu vaccine (influenza) and the COVID-19 vaccine. The specific vaccines available may vary by region. It’s best to check directly with a pharmacy near you.
Who can get vaccinated?
In general, people aged 18 and older can get vaccinated; for the COVID-19 vaccine, this applies to those aged 12 and older. The Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) particularly recommends vaccinations for, among others:
- People aged 60 and older
- Employees who have frequent contact with others
- People with incomplete vaccination coverage
Here’s how the vaccination process works
Schedule an appointment—by phone or in person. In some cases, vaccination is also possible without an appointment. Before the vaccination, you will receive a personal consultation and information session. The vaccination is then administered and recorded in your vaccination record or digitally. Of course, all hygiene and safety standards are strictly followed.
Why is this important?
This additional service makes it easier to access important vaccinations. Especially when it’s hard to fit a doctor’s visit into your daily routine, the pharmacy offers a simple way to fill vaccination gaps and actively boost your health.
