Doctor finder and appointment booking
Our free doctor finder will help you find a suitable statutory health insurance doctor or dentist in your area.
The Appointment Service Center of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians also helps you to get specialist appointments as quickly as possible.
The Appointment Service Center arranges appointments:
- General practitioners and pediatricians (incl. early detection examinations)
- Psychotherapeutic acute treatment (referral required)
You can make appointments without a referral with
- GPs, pediatricians, adolescent doctors, ophthalmologists and gynaecologists
- Psychotherapists for an initial consultation as part of the psychotherapeutic consultation hours
to arrange appointments with the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians
Medical on-call service - help outside regular consultation hours
The medical on-call service is available for medical support at night, at weekends and on public holidays. You can get quick help for non-life-threatening illnesses in over 600 on-call practices throughout Germany.

Second medical opinion
For certain procedures, you can obtain an independent second medical opinion. This will give you more clarity and enable you to make the best decision together with your doctor. Ask for information and all important documents such as x-rays, laboratory results, patient file and the report of findings.
You can obtain a second opinion for the following procedures:
- Tonsil operations (tonsillectomy/tonsillotomy)
- Removal of the uterus (hysterectomy)
- Arthroscopic operations on the shoulder
- Insertion of a knee endoprosthesis
- Interventions on the spine
- Amputation for diabetic foot
- Catheter-based electrophysiological heart examination and ablation of the heart
- Implantation of a pacemaker or defibrillator
- Removal of the gallbladder (cholecystectomy)

Family doctor program: health on the right track
Your family doctor is the first port of call when it comes to your health - whether for acute complaints or for regular preventive care. With our GP program, we ensure that you receive all-round good care - personal, coordinated and efficient.
This is how it works:
By participating, you coordinate your medical care through your GP practice. This means
- Your GP remains your main point of contact
- Access to specialists is by referral - except for dentists, ophthalmologists, gynecologists and in emergencies
- You benefit from particularly close care and a better exchange of information between the doctors treating you
The program is particularly suitable for insured persons who need regular medical help or want to take an active approach to preventive care. This keeps you safely on track - without any detours.

More time for consultations, less time in the waiting room - that is the aim of our specialist program "BKK.Mein Facharzt" in Baden-Württemberg. This gives you particularly structured and coordinated treatment based on the latest medical standards for certain illnesses.
The program covers the following specialist areas:
- Cardiology - for cardiovascular diseases
- Gastroenterology - for gastrointestinal diseases
Note: Participation in the program is only possible in conjunction with the family doctor-centered care (family doctor program).
Your family doctor remains your central point of contact and coordinates your entire medical care - including your further treatment by specialists. This means that you always have an overview, both medically and organizationally.
