Your advantages
- Medically prescribed and prescription-only: We cover the costs of all prescribed, prescription-only medicines that are part of statutory healthcare.
- Reference price regulation: If there is a reference price, we will cover the costs up to this limit. You pay for everything above this limit yourself.
- No reference price: We cover the full cost of medicines without areference price - minus the statutory co-payment.
- No co-payment: Many medicines are now completely free of co-payment. Ask your doctor's surgery or pharmacy specifically about alternative preparations.

E-prescription - the digital prescription
Since January 1, 2024, electronic prescriptions (e-prescriptions) have been mandatory for prescription medicines. Whether at the doctor's surgery or in the pharmacy: everything is now digital - securely, conveniently and directly via your health card or the Gematik e-prescription app.
Exemption from co-payments
- Reimbursement of costs for up to 10 sessions per year for chronic pain in the lumbar spine or osteoarthritis of the knee joint (gonarthrosis)
- Extended treatment options: In justified cases, up to 15 sessions within 12 weeks are possible
- Direct billing: Simply present your insurance card at the doctor's surgery. You do not have to pay in advance.
