Artificial insemination

If pregnancy does not occur naturally, modern reproductive medicine offers a wide range of options. As ZF BKK, we provide you with financial support - uncomplicated and in addition to the standard care provided by law.

Our services

  • We cover 50% of the costs of artificial insemination. The assumption of costs depends on the planned treatment measure (e.g. IVF, ICSI).
  • In addition, you will receive up to €500 towards your own contribution.
  • The health insurance contribution is settled directly with us via your treating practice.

These requirements must be met

  • You are married.
  • The wife is between 25 and 40 years old, the husband between 25 and 50 years old.
  • Only egg and sperm cells from the couple are used.
  • The chosen method promises sufficient medical prospects of success.

A treatment plan must be submitted for approval before treatment begins. We will be happy to advise you personally on all questions regarding cost coverage.

Another tip: The federal and state governments also support couples with an unfulfilled desire to have children - with direct financial subsidies. More information at: www.informationsportal-kinderwunsch.de

Cryopreservation

Medically necessary treatment such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy can damage the germ cell tissue and permanently impair fertility. In order to give those affected in this difficult situation the opportunity to become parents at a later date, we cover the full costs of cryopreservation.

Services in detail

  • Collection and preparation of egg or sperm cells or germ cell tissue
  • Freezing, storage and subsequent thawing
  • 100% cost coverage for medically necessary measures
  • No co-payment for our insured persons
  • Billing takes place via your electronic health card

The benefit applies to:

  • Women up to the age of 40
  • Men up to 50 years of age

A medical consultation is provided prior to any potentially germ cell-damaging therapy and cryopreservation.

BKK Fertility

With our exclusive BKK Kinderwunsch care contract, we are expanding our range of services well beyond the statutory requirements. Together with selected fertility centers, we create conditions that best suit your individual situation.

Your advantages

  • We contribute €350 each towards two cryocycles after transfer.
  • We subsidize two blastocyst cultures with €250 each after a successful transfer.
  • If medically justified, you can switch from in vitro fertilization (IVF) to intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in the same cycle.
  • We subsidize fertility treatments for women up to their 42nd birthday - two years longer than required by law.
  • We contribute €800 (IVF) or €1,000 (ICSI) towards a 4th treatment attempt after a successful transfer.
  • We prefer to support the transfer of only one embryo, if medically possible, and otherwise a maximum of two embryos. In this way, we reduce the risk of multiple pregnancies.
  • We want to spare you additional hormonal stimulation treatment as long as there are still fertilized eggs available. This is why you can freeze any surplus fertilized eggs with our help.
