Dental treatments

  • Anesthesia (general anesthesia) for wisdom tooth removal
  • Fissure sealing (for insured persons under the age of 18)
  • Extended orthodontic services (e.g. smooth surface sealing, retainers)

Aids

  • Anti-allergy intermediate covers
  • Sports glasses or sport-specific contact lenses (depending on medical requirements - see FAQ for details)
  • Aids for light therapy

Sports medicine services

  • Examinations and advice from approved contract doctors' practices following medical certification

Preventive examinations

  • Skin cancer screening incl. reflected light microscopy (annually)
  • Glaucoma screening if risk factors are present
  • Optical coherence tomography (OCT) if medically necessary
  • Breast palpation examination by qualified blind and visually impaired palpation examiners (MTU) in case of medically confirmed risk
  • Ultrasound examination of the breast if risk factors are present
  • Health check-up before the age of 35
  • Bone density measurement if osteoporosis is suspected (from the age of 55)
  • Colorectal cancer screening (30-70 years of age, if there is a family history of colorectal cancer risk - see FAQ for details)
  • Antibody test (titer determination)

Alternative healing methods

  • Shiatsu massages
  • Other massages such as foot reflexology, acupuncture or full-body massages, performed by licensed medical or physiotherapeutic specialists

How the refund works

Submit your specified invoices together with any medical prescriptions. Simply use our online office, the ZF BKK Service App or send us your documents by post. We will check them and reimburse you up to €100 per calendar year.

Good to know

Reimbursement is possible if existing risk factors indicate a weakening of health or impending illness or if the worsening of an existing illness can be avoided.

  • For insured persons under the age of 18: The prescription must be issued by an ophthalmologist. The glasses or contact lenses must be purchased from an optician or from an authorized mail order company.

  • For insured persons aged 18 and over: Prerequisite is a serious visual impairment or a corresponding prescription for severe defective vision (more than 6 diopters for myopia or hyperopia, more than 4 diopters for astigmatism).

  • A family or medical history must be confirmed by a doctor. The breast palpation examination itself must also be arranged by a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics or by an appropriately authorized service provider.

  • From the age of 55, a bone density measurement is possible once a year - if medically necessary and prescribed by a doctor. A repeat scan is possible after two years at the earliest.

  • Either a colonoscopy every 10 years or an immunological stool test every 2 years.
